Adah Hoffenheimer is named
after Debby Shaffer's true life Grand-mother, Adah.
The name Hoffenheimer is actually a name that Debby's oldest
son Daniel "claims" to have invented back in 1992.
Adah, a.k.a., Debby
Shaffer, does indeed have a Pemberville address, although her
home is out in the country. Debby graduated from Bowling
Green State University with a Vocal Performance Bachelor's
degree. She has taught music at a small Christian school
and given voice lessons over the years. Before the
Hoffenheimer Sisters were created, Debby sang the role of
Dolly in "Hello, Dolly" and in college, the role of Mabel in
the "Pirates of Penzance." In more recent years she has
had various roles in musicals and plays with the Bowling Green
Community Theatre.
Debby is married to Michael (32 years in
2007) and has five sons. Daniel (married to Riki),
David, Luke, John and Zachary. All her sons sing.
Luke, John and Zach have all had opportunities to perform in
musicals and have had lead roles in their high school musical
productions, which of course Debby thinks is really
cool.
When not Hoffenheiming, Debby is
a realtor working for Wells Bowen AND works at
managing the two small companies she owns with her husband,
Michael. One is a CD duplication company (got a music CD you
want nice printed copies to sell?) and the other is an online
coffee company. North Coast Coffee ships freshly roasted
coffee to coffee lovers all over the USA.
